Peak Mechanical were appointed to undertake a major mechanical refurbishment at Corby International Swimming Pool, working closely with the client team to replace the existing gas-fired infrastructure with a high-efficiency air source heat pump system. The project addressed the complex heating and hot water demands of a busy leisure facility while improving environmental performance.

Scope of works included:

• Working collaboratively with a valued client to deliver all mechanical elements of the project
• Isolation, decommissioning and removal of existing gas services and plant
• Installation of air source heat pumps (ASHPs) to serve pool water, space heating and building services
• Installation of buffer vessels to support system capacity and efficiency
• Installation of 250mm below-ground distribution pipework to accommodate high flow requirements
• Installation of new hot water cylinders to serve pool and domestic hot water systems
• Installation of services to fan coil units to enhance internal temperature control
• Managing works within a live leisure environment, maintaining safety and operational continuity
• Delivery of a high-performance, low-carbon heating solution with reduced energy consumption
